What is Amyloidosis?

Amyloidosis is a build of of Amyloid proteins in organs that can lead to organ failure. Specifically ATTR-CM is a genetic variant of Amyloidosis that affects the heart. ATTR-CM mainly affects older adults and people of African Descent. Yet there is a lack of diagnosis in populations that have a large percentage of people of African Descent.
